Weekend Update
Whew what an insane week!
Going backwards lol.... Sunday we picked up our little Princess, she was happy to be home had fun, and has a summer filled with country committments to her steers and lambs, dances, camp and fun. I really missed her. Thank you to her guardian angels who were nearby when I could not be, love ya'll. She stopped answering texts so we could go shop at our favorite pottery shop, look at the gazebo we want for her sweet sixteen party and drool over fountains. Was a nice break. Then we went through SV and saw Paul and Willow, Paul was at a bead shop, God save me, lol we bought some little tiny beads for my next monster dress, Willow went with us bringing Serina to the mall, and then we headed home getting home by 8 pm and just in time to give Courtney my back pack for the senior hike and start packing Tressa who leaves for camp tomorrow for a week!
Saturday was City of Rocks and what a wonderful event.
I rounded up the Ladies of the Rose present, Countess Claudia, me and Countess Olivia and we put our resources together, lined up the Rapiers present and said, ok we want to start something new. I gave a speach about what the community was historically and what it CAN be in the SCA. Asked them to show us what they have, encouraged them to call on us to help, and support them. Countess Olivia encouraged them to bring the Queen a rose when they see her, to work on their courtly graces, and Countess Claudia reminded them that to our Kingdom, the Rapier Champion is the defender of the Queen's Heart. The most chivalrous fighter was given an armor bag made by Claudia. We also gave small largess for cool deads and Our wonderful Baron of Citadel has given me the green light to hold a Rose sponsered list the first weekend in October one heavy, one rapier at their anniversary event.
The site is truly magic. I was honored that our first King Count Gunnvaldt and I know I spelled that wrong I bet... came over and sang to us, his voice is amazing and his eyes truly hold the good spirit of the Outlands within them.
Everyone had a great time, we took on Nikolai as the newest Squire in Closing Court and Erun as the baby apprentice (yes she has red hair...) they might be better known to some of you as Mike and Monique.
We stayed over night in a nearby hotel with Finn and Libbie, eat Chinese food craziness, met some of our Army reserves in the hot tub, visited with them and thanked them for serving our country.
Friday
All I remember is chasing the lambs lol. What a stressful week it was without my baby girl and with Jer figuring out which direction to take next.
If he takes the one he favors (not the one in Turkey) it will mean he is split between posts of duty at FT Huachuca which is an hour ish from home, Orlando which is awesome because of all our friends and family there and Texas which is Ansteorra and home as well. It is like it was made in heaven, and he will be here at home lots too, so cross fingers and toes, this would be perfect. As much as I adore love and am crazy about An Tir, I would like him a little closer to home for a couple years, its hard on me when we are all over the place!

More later, need to help pumpkinboo pack for camp. After camp it is VB practice once her pulled muslce in the shoulder is a-ok and then fair time. Me, well I think it's time for a new dress, I have this purple thing going on ;)
