NATHANAEL BOUGHT ME A CAT AND SHE ARE TEH CUTEZORZ ZOMG

We decided we wanted a cat, so the first day we went to a shelter and like, eight different Petsmarts checking out animals. There was this one kitty in the first place we looked who I really liked. But this cat was supposed to be Nathanael's cat, so he was the one who was going to decide. And he didn't choose her. I was really sad, cause she was so affectionate and beautiful and quiet. She was also two years old, and I knew that chances were good that she wouldn't be adopted out. This was all on Tuesday.
So, today, when he's supposed to be at work, I'm just putzing around on the computer and he walks into our bedroom with that same kitty in his arms. And for the past few days he'd been saying things like "There are always better cats than her" and "You know I really wanted a siamese" and "Are you going to keep thinking about her after we get a different cat?" and that sort of thing. And basically playing me for a fool because he had started the adoption almost right away after we found her, and wanted to surprise me.
So now, I have a beautiful kitty sitting on my bed. She's quite woozy still because she just got neutered today, but right now she's calm. Even in her drugged state she LOVES being pet and coddled. She's underweight. About five pounds, and we want her at seven. She also has dandruff. But we'll be feeding her top of the line catfood, so she'll plump up and get a shiny healthy coat in no time.
She's a classic tortoiseshell, with beautiful mottled patternless markings. So her name is Rorschach. Her eyes are BIG. Big big big eyes. Maybe I should take a picture of her.

Gaddamnit, I forgot how hard it was to photograph cats. Stop. Moving. Ugh.
Anyway, in other news. Been in the new place about one week. The housemates are awesome wicked cool. Country has culinary degress, and has been showing us how to cook. The shower runs, the toilet flushes. The windows both open and close. It's really a beautiful neighborhood. I'm very happy here.
Also. Nathanael paid for me to get my nipples pierced. OW. But pretty. Something I've wanted for years.
I am so happy. ^.^
