Just coz I love Evette

Finally I have some time to write a substantial blog! It's 7.32am and I have snuck out of bed early to get some space for myself, so hopefully Hope doesn't wake up anytime soon *fingers crossed.*

okay, so my trip so far....

We hopped on our plane to HK - the flight was pretty good, not too much happened, got to HK on time and just farted around there but we were soo tired by the time we got on the plane we both crashed out. I only got about 3 proper hours sleep though, I just can't really sleep on planes. The best part was when we flew right over Russia, it was awesome.

Got to Heathrow, and guess what - they didn't even X-ray our
luggage! Can you believe that?!?! All this crap about massive
security and we walked right out just with stamped passports.

Rubbish!

Little Eric was waiting for us, looking beautiful as ever and we
jumped on my first Tube, (ha ha the final destination was called
Cockfosters ha) lugging that bloody suitcase around. FYI - Hope has
no idea about others around her. She stops in the middle of the
street, doesn't hear when people say excuse me etc - it's bizzare!

So anyways, we get to the East Putney tube station hop off and walk
to Ericas place. By the time we got there my foot AND knee were both
killing me and I had weird jet lag stuff feeling all dizzy and like
I was in an elevator. Her place is really cute and so is her flat
mate! (and her boyfriend Ben is absolutely gorgeous!)

We got home, took showers and headed straight into Knightsbridge
where Erica works at Harrods. Knightsbrigde is my new favourite
place in the whole world. It is amazing, impeccible, the buildings
are massive and so decadent. This place is like, a million High
Streets put into one! Harrods is huge and really a big tourist trap
just like they say it is. But erica's spa where she works is just
beautiful.

We went for a little ticky tour around Knightsbridge on foot after
droping Eric at work, just walking and looking at shops and stuff,
and thats when I saw this gorgeous church with a convienient park
bench just outside (note - there are hardly any park benches in
London, it's bloody weird and my feet are always hurting). So we sat
down, and the reverand came out and started chatting to us. He was
so so so nice, and invited us in for basically a private tour of the
church.

The outside was its original 1820 architecture, but they had gutted
the inside and refurbished the whole thing. It was almost the feel
of CLCA in terms of its modern approach, and I told him about our
church and they do a very similar thing with an outreach through the
Arts. He just had a 3 month sabatacal touring other churches with
strong theatre and music backgrounds. The best part about the church
was that they had kept some of the original pews and had a really
really old bible and the original stained glass saints. I felt all
funny and a bit teary over them!

At some point before or after the church was when we saw beyonce,
but i don't really give a shit about Beyonce to be honest. The
church was way cooler.

Right, so yes, then we left knightsbridge and took a bus to the
central city which was not as beautiful but just as huge and over
whelming. Just kinda walked about and looked at things, then stopped
for a beer at a pub in Covent Square. I like beer here. It's nice!

Got the bus home - went to the supermarket for supplies, then got
lost on the way back! Hope went to meet Conrads brother Issac, while
I stayed at home and went to the pub with Ben, Erica and then later
their flatmate Andrew came a met us. Long live Jet-lag coz I was
pissed after a couple of pints!! Ha! Lightweight.

Right, Friday we had a really quiet day just hanging out at home coz
we were both really tired, then Eric took us out to a cute little
Asian place for tea. The only weird part was that it was in a mall
in Fullham broadway!

Saturday we went back into the city to the Portabello markets in
Notting Hill! Luke gave me a call and we chatted for ages. It was
soooooo good to hear from him! We made plans to meet up that night.
Portabello was cool.
After the markets we walked to South Kensington trying to find the
entrance to Holland park (Hope wanted to go there to see the
celebrities walk their dogs. Bullshite as far as I..m concerned).
Found it, it was a bit rubbish and my feet were hurting. So after a
bit of humouring Hope we tubed back into East Puttney.

Got home, all dolled up, to go and meet little Lukey boy! Got to the
city centre where we had to wait forever for him coz his mate Bob
was in the dog house with his girlfriend. But we found a funky club
called Jewel which was really fancy, with massively overpriced
drinks and alot of pretty people. We stayed there for a while then
decided to move on to a bigger club called tiger tiger.

I swear to God, as soon as Hope got there she threw one of her
tantrums and wanted to leave. I was so freaking mad I just ignored
her and danced with Luke. She sat in the corner sulking untill she
decided we had to leave. I told her she could leave but I wasn't
going to coz I was having fun with my friend Luke and I wasn't
leaving.

So she left and I stayed and danced untill 3am. It was brilliant.

Went back to Luke's parents place and stayed in the guest room which
was sooo luxurious compared to the couch I've been sleeping on! Got
a bit teary when Luke showed me some old photos of Benny. He looked
so young! So he gave me a cuddle and told me it would be alright. I
am so gutted he is getting married because I love him. He is so
nice, so smart, hilarious, GORGEOUS! and, we didnt go to sleep
till 6am and he was up for church at 10. What a saint. I wanted to
go, but was in last nights clothes (green dress.. not exactly the
best church attire I'd say).

So I watch the omnibus of "Britains next top Model" which ROCKS! And
is soooo much more bitchy than ANTM. Luke came home and we went to
the pub for breakfast, so good.

So, Luke had to go see Hazel for a movie and I needed to get home,
so I had my first real adventure on the tube. He lives waaaaay out
from where we are. basically the same distance to the city as we are
but North. So he gave me a little tube map and a cuddle coz I got
all scared and let me go. And I managed to get home without a hitch!
So now I know the tube and how it works so am so much more
independant here.

Got back and Hope was fine, I think it was because I didn't
apologise about the night before, which is good. Went to the pub for
dinner, had a beer but trouble stomaching it. A bit seedy you see.

Monday, went to the Tower (although didn't go in, coz Hope thought
£15 was too expensive for a tour of the most historical place in
London. Far out - can you tell I'm sick of her?!). But that was when
I decided I was definately going to come back from Dublin early and
spend a week in London alone. (Luke and his parents said it was fine
if I styed with them for that week)

Went from the Tower for a big walk to the Globe. Stunning,
wonderful, an amazing tour (which Hope thought was lame gah) bought
tickets in the groundling section for a performance of none other
than Comedy of Errors! For Wednesday night!!!

Right, so that's almost me all done and up to date. I called Michael
last night, we have to be at his place at 6.30 tonight, but it's
only two tube stops from where we are which is great. I'm looking
forward to meeting him and spending some time with him.

Today is more touristy things I think. Perhaps the tate. We'll see
how it all goes.

I miss you all terribly, but I love London and don't want to go to
Dublin because here is so much better. I really feel like I'm home
here.

Love you

Michaela
P.S to my love May.

I wish you were here. Luke, god, just the coolest. You would love it here. And you would love seeing Luke he is like a ray of mother fucking sunshine.
