God I am returning to the humble world of books. I went to my dentist this afternoon and dropped off SM Fairview before going home. I checked (as usual) some books at Booksale and saw The Russia House by John Le Carre, John Irving's The Hotel New Hampshire and Shakespeare's King Lear. Sadly, I didn't buy any of those books because I was thinking that it will only gather dust around the house because I have stock of books ready at my disposal. I still have not read Heart of Darkness and Memory of my Melancholy Whores just disappeared. Don't tell Margz I lost her book.
I checked Le Carre's profile over the net and suddenly found his works interesting. It's like finding the right espionage author as finding Grisham for courtroom, Crichton for the medical ones and King as the reigning terror dog of the town. The new wave of authors, I'd say. I hope The Russia House is still there by Monday night. I don't think I'll drop by the mall tomorrow. Too many people doing their last minute school supplies shopping. And jeez, I miss the school fun.
My work? My new work sucks. Help me. I'm now bent on finding a school abroad for a masters degree. Anyone knows any school which accepts scholarship for the not-so brilliant students? Hahaha. Seriously.
Have you ever heard of Cineuropa? God I love the site and I have not yet checked it thoroughly. Because it will kill me to know that there are a gamut of lovely films which I cannot have and will never be able to watch unless I have the right connections. And the right money. Fuck it.
