time for a happy post...

Navy update: First week of May I'm changing my rating (job) to the one I really wanted. (well, the one I wanted practically speaking, the other was kind of lacking in any application to the civilian world) It's a linguist job, so if all goes well I'll be going to learn some ridiculously difficult language right after boot camp. I'm really, really excited. And hopefully there will be after this no more confusing of myself, my recruiters, my friends, or anyone else about what job I'll be doing.

Also, I ran 4 miles today without dying, I think I'm actually improving here...

And...I'm reading Starship Troopers, still working on Snow Crash, and I just got Fragile Things from the library. yay for books.
