It had been some time since I was reminded of how beautiful this campus is, or can be sometimes. Lower campus, around the reflecting pool and the rose garden were covered in a light fog, and it was warm and smelled nice. One of the larger trees in the wood behind the tennis courts had fallen, though, right across the path where I run (or walk, when I'm feeling lazy, have shin splints and blisters and have just come from class...). Sort of fun, I had to climb over it.
I'm writing a rather silly fairy tale sort of story...again...not silly in a humorous sort of way, silly in that it is not really much in its subject matter, writing style or really anything else. It was inspired by a particularly sappy and sad song, and a little bit by Cupid and Psyche. And mostly my own very silly imagination. I think I'll write it in two versions, the short more fairy tale sort one and a longer one with more description that will probably be excessively long and might end differently. I'll probably just post the shorter version here since the longer one is looking to be very long indeed. Feedback would be much appreciated, even though it's rather silly and I'm not even that fond of it, I just want to write it and know what people think, I suppose.
I ought to remember not to go dancing when I'm tired and upset. It makes for a not very fun evening of mostly watching other people have a good time and merely encourages my self-pitying and/or self hating tendancies. Then again doing something active discourages such, so I don't really know. But enough of that. It was a bad weekend, but I think it will mostly be a decent week.
And spring break I'm going to the mountains, at least for one day, because I miss them. Possibly also San Fransisco, a variety of pubs in downtown Seattle, and the dentist's office. Good times. Yes.
