So I already call it Addison's...this was sent to me by iolite23 from the Wall Street Journal, I believe ( what will I call this? )

Eeek, if that's true I'm going to be so excited! Especially if Alex goes with her. I'm surprised they're doing a spinoff though, while GA is still on the air. Has that ever been done before, a spinoff of a show that is still on the air?

Happy Days had a TON of spinoffs while it was still on the air. Most notably, Laverne & Shirley and Mork and Mindy.

Happy Days itself was a spinoff from Love, American Style.

I think this is a crap idea, though. But the prospect of never having to listen/look at Meh's whiney face again...MIGHT make it okay.

Do you know anything about it? I'm all for getting rid of Meh, and Izzie, and George, at this point. Though I like George more than I ever have. Maybe that's why I'm hopeful it will be good. That and I love her.

I thought Shonda was doing something with JDM in it?

Nothing past the article this morning. I still think it's a bad idea. I think the cast works well TOGETHER. And Shonda says she "has trouble writing all 12 leads" every week.

here's a TIP, sweetheart, you don't have to. ER doesn't and they've been on for 12 years now.

I think it's a bad idea. I love Addison the most, but I'd rather see her at Seattle Grace.

First casting news for the spin off: Taye Diggs has been tapped to star opposite Kate Walsh in ABC's potential spinoff from hit medical drama "Grey's Anatomy."
