it's my 1st scaperversery!
So, one year ago today I watched my first 4 episodes of Farscape...to less than stellar results. I was watching to uphold a promise I had made to
jenahville &
deathbycstand mostly, but got much encouragement along the way from
kzingirl as well. To say I was underwhelmed would be making an understatement. I thought...get through the first season, then you'll be done. Instead it ate my brain, stamped it's name on my heart & soul and frankly has me doubting any show, much less any couple, can ever be as good.
A year ago I thought Claudia Black was strange/funny looking, blasphemy, I know. That Ben Browder's name was Ben Bowder. I hated sci-fi. I mean hated! The entire concept of the show just turned me off. How far I have come! ;)
In that year I've badgered
scout27 into watching, she's now a content little Scaper just like me! And also encourages anyone & everyone to watch.
em47 has watched and fallen in love as well.
iolite23 has watched the entire show, does not love it like I do, but has much affection.
brandyleigh is somewhere in S3 and has much love.

stilettos81 have all started to watch... they will fall as well! Several RL friends and I'm sure several others I'm forgetting have all begun to watch and/or fall in love with this wonderful show. It really is this amazing thing that you want to share with everyone because it's just that good, you don't want anyone to miss out. I would with the tv hiatus upon us, encourage anyone to spend their summer falling in love with Farscape. It's a very strange show, but it's also a very wonderful one.

This gets three, because I couldn't find one cap that captured the mood. This is all about freedom.
The reason this makes it is the emotion in the moment, but the reason there are three caps are the details. The temple brush, temple kiss, the hand on his chest, the hand brushing his chin. That's part of what I love so much about John & Aeryn, Ben & Claudia get the details so very right.

This is such a painful episode, but this moment in it makes me grin. But then, I OTP John & Aeryn like no other couple. There is no one else for me with either of them. Though I do like Velorek and a couple of the women from John's past.

This is all about the happiness, relief & freedom that happens in that moment.
Not wild about the episode, much love for this kiss & moment though.

This is IMO the best on screen tv kiss ever, best one I've ever seen. There's the combonation of love & lust that John & Aeryn have for one another, this moment of just giving in, and then the pulling back. It's just so amazingly well done. So it gets a bunch of caps, cause really there will never be enough SoD kissing caps!
Plus there's the amazing details.
His hand knifing through her hair, the lip touching, her splayed hands on his back.

One of the things that really drew me in with John & Aeryn was the details, Ben Browder & Claudia Black just get all of them right, and some are tiny, but I still obsess over them.

I didn't do many, because a lot of couples I like there's no kiss I really love as well. Like Six & Gaius on BSG. There's no one kiss that to me says them. It's just them in general that fascinate me. Or Joey & Rachel who I love but there's no one kiss that just gets me, it's the banter and fun of them. When I started this I didn't have Rory & Logan included, but they came through for me in the finale.

Much as I love Rory & Logan, they're my favorite couple on a show currently on the air,
