nothing says love like a...

Nothing says love like a nuclear bomb!   Though the ability of HarveySix to still manipulate him is quite amazing. HELLO! Laura didn't write you the letter after you saved her life, it was before. And everything she said was valid. One minute he's the hero, the next he's a goat. But he's always self absorbed. Never self actualized. Gaius, Gaius, Gaius, such a pliable little troll! But he's still a ton of fun.

I went from intrigued this week to full on infatuated with Gina & Giaus!  She missed him, awwww!  He hasn't stopped thinking about her, double awwww!  And I LOVED HarveySix's reaction/jealously to her.  She's not going near her.  And I found it interesting how covered up she was in this episode.  Its not exactly her normal dress-code.  But back to Gina & Giaus.  I think she's prettier than the glamazon HarveySix.  I loved their playfulness at the beginning of their first meeting.  And the sense of wonder/hesitancy as well.  That after what had been done to her she's still to hesitant to want physical intimacy yet. Gaius was stupid there, and unthinking. What's new, he's nothing if not fixated on himself. It was obvious that she wasn't looking for any hanky-panky when she said she missed him.

I also love that she's insinuated herself amongst the useful idiots/give peace a chance crowd.  Cracked me up. Just when I think I have the politics of this show all figured out they go a different direction on me.  You could tell those people really were supposed to be useful idiots.  Of course Gina wants peace with the cylons, she's a cylon!  Because seriously, they wave a white flag, they're gone.  Amusing/ironic that it comes a day after the OBL 'truce' offer, which really wasn't that at all.

Also find it quite amusing where they set the 'peace movement', Cloud Nine. (I was there the other day!) Which we've been told is a swank luxury liner. I saw someone saying a couple of weeks ago that Cain is obviously supposed to be Bush, which made me roll my eyes. I guess though if we're supposed to see that then maybe the peace movement guy is Jacques Chirac? World wider hero of the decadent left. But they definitely made a point of putting people that are living in luxury compared to the rest of the fleet. They're definitely not the folks on the Astral Queen. But they're the ones that want to negotiate, in effect, surrender. Because to extrapolate the analogy they've concocted, there is no surrender to an enemy that has openly stated they don't plan to accommodate, don't plan to live in harmony, they plan to anailate.

The President Roslin storyline wasn't all that surprising, her & Adar.  He was on LFN back in the day, and I thought he was kinda hot with Madeline back then.  Here he was quite slimey. Have to wonder why Laura got involved with him, was she always more ambitious than we've been led to believe? The blood/stem cells with anomalies somehow seems realistic, the cylons have obviously built themselves to be better than humans even while appearing human.  Though Sharon was freaky & creepy tonight.  Really interested in seeing where they go with the information that she remembered of seeing Gaius & Six together. Really I was just glad that Laura is fine, I can't imagine this show without Mary McDonnell. But boy did she let them put the ugly on her!
  • "I guess that's the price you pay for reinstating me as CAG Sir!...Maybe I don't give a damn what you think, Sir." BWAHAHAHAHA!! Go Lee!
  • Am glad my boy Lee is the CAG again.
  • What exactly is Kara though?  I didn't catch anything about that.
  • BIIIIIIILLLLLLYYYYYYY!!!!  Poor guy, he needs his mom.

I realize this is mostly incoherent, but well I was preoccupied, or had a one track mind.  It was a fantastic episode.  And with that I'm out, must go rewatch all the Gina/Giaus parts!  :)
This made me happily hopeful (free registration required).
