I don't know what the title to this episode was, but I adored it! Actually Rory still bugged me ever so much, but as I think that's what's supposed to be happening I'm ok with it. I think, or hope, Richard in particular is going to have a talk with her about where she's going with her life. I think the one thing I did enjoy about Rory tonight, well there were two, was her shining at something that is her mother's area of expertise. Its been a while since we've seen a positive Lorelai/Rory ||. I also enjoyed her with Paris though the episode. It was one of the better Rory episodes this season.
I liked the Luke/Lorelai stuff, mainly because I think its leading to problems. I think he's sweeping things under the rug to get along. I hadn't wanted him to accept the proposal, but understood also why he did. He loves Lorelai, wants to marry her, even if I have problems with why I think she asked I get why he accepted. I'm looking forward to them dealing with problems, not just glossing over things. Sookie & Jackson though were bizarre tonight. That was rude.
But stuff like what happened tonight is why despite what he did at the end of S4, Richard is my favorite character. And it showed why I continue to like Emily, despite her pretensions & foibles. The scene between Mitchem & Richard was just wonderful. "You CRUSHED her!" As in all honesty was the tension of his earlier one with Lorelai. I had almost put in my review of last week that part of my annoyance with this season was too little Richard, but I didn't. Tonight proved that for me I should have gone ahead. Emily as well was perfection. She used her weaknesses, endless pretension, against someone that had tried to use the same thing against Rory. But she had forgotten, or wanted to forget, where she came from. LOVED, I can't really even say how much, the final act of tonight's episode. Emily & Richard were absolutely fantastic! I've always liked them, but tonight just LOVE!
My Name Is Earl
I think this might be my favorite show on television right now. My favorite character, Joy, wasn't even on tonight but I laughed through the entire thing. The showercap was HYSTERICAL! And the paper mache version of Earl disturbingly funny. Ohh, and the tattoo that rubbed off, cracked me up.
Honestly I don't really know how to talk about this show, I just love it.
