Ouran High School Host Club
I know i should not be watching animes during my study period...but i can't help it! I watched the first 2 epis of Ouran High School Host Club, which i was SOOO HAPPY when i heard they were going to turn it into an anime. I've heard of the manga way before and the storyline totally interested me! Unfortunately i din buy the manga cos english mangas are too expensive and i have no idea how long the manga series can go. Yayyy for anime!
Here's the summary i got from animenewsnetwork:
[Haruhi is a poor girl in a rich kids' school. She only got to go there because of a scholarship. She happens upon the Host Club when she is looking for a place to study quietly. After getting there, she breaks an $80,000 vase. After which, she is forced to work at the club to pay off the debt. The only problem is that the members don't realize she's a girl....]
...Well until the second episode that is. Once they knew that she's a girl, they continue to let her be in the host club dressed as a boy. So the adventures continue! Btw host club means having tea and conversations with the girls in the school. It's all nice and clean. ^_^
Once again, i present piccys!
The feller with short brown hair and big eyes in the foreground is the girl/"boy". I think she looks vvv nice as a boy! Seriously, in the anime, she looks like a pretty boy with huge innocent eyes and a very sweet smile. Plus the seiyuu who did her voice is a woman with a rather deep octave so she sounded very convincing as a young boy. Ahhh i think she could garner alot of fans if she really IS a boy. LOL!
I love the twins!! If you notice carefully there is a pair of twins in there! They're just ASKING TO BE PAIRED UP ala BL!!!!!!!!!!!!! Their speciality to attract girls is to act super close and LOVING to each other!!! As in cupping the others face with their hands and staring into each other eyes while proclaiming they want to spend more alone time together! OMG soooooo Shounen-ai!!!!!! And for some reason all the girls in the school will go nuts when they do that! Hahahahah!
I also like the guy with the specs. He's the vice captain of the school and he's the brains behind the operation. I guess the more cunning type who stays in the background. The King of the Host club is of cos the blond guy who's sooooooooooooooooooo funny in a VERY obnoxious way!
All the guys are super rich and the girl is poor so they kept refering to her as a commoner, the things she does as the "commoner-way" and the King is soooooooo flamboyantly arrogant(he can't help it, he's used to being rich) that he says alot of stoopid things which he doesn't realize(or mebbe he does) is insulting. Hahahah!
I highly recommend this to anyone who wants a good laugh. The seiyuu(voice) cast is alright....not the best i've heard, but the overall lighthearted-ness is very appealing. And i tot the "lightbulb" idea in the first epi was very well done. Hahaha! You'll understand if you watch it. ^_^
