... moved and stuff ...
I can't remember if I said that we were moving, but we did. About a 15 min walk away from Peter's office. Of course, since we have had awful storms (been raining/super windy nearly every day for almost 3 weeks now) he's been driving in, but when the weather is nice, he'll be able to walk.
So, as you do when you move, we've changed our address with the companies we do business with. Ok, but get this... Peter and I have a joint account at our bank. Before we moved, we asked them for an "extended overdraft" so that we could cover the cost of the rent/deposit/incidentals that come up when you move, until we get our other deposit back from the first place. So they agreed to extend it, until the 24th of Dec. We changed our address with them, and today we get letters from the bank, one addressed to Peter, one addressed to me, reminding us that the overdraft session will end at the end of this month etc. My letter has the (mostly) correct address - Peter's doesn't. His doesn't include the flat (apartment) number on it. Royal Mail have put a sticker on his saying "Your address is not correct" lol. BTW, he has already tried to correct the address once already, as they made several mistakes on our renter's insurance policy too, the address only being one of them. Our address is here much less complicated than the old place, but seems people just can't get it right. :)
We are settling in very nicely and I love this new place. I can look out the window that my desk sits in front of and watch the squirrels chase each other through the trees. Also, the internet is like 100times faster than the old place - worth it to move just for that! And, we were able to get some new bedroom furniture (a chest of drawers and two bedside tables) to replace the old stuff that Peter has had for who knows how long (and the tops of the bedsides were not even attached... long story there :) ). I've never had bedroom furniture before (well, as an adult, I had stuff my uncle built when I was a kid) and am very excited about it! :) And and and! we will have our new sofas sometime around the 19 of Dec!!
