Clean-up, so I can start again
This morning:
Re-packed garage sale stuff and tucked it behind the couch (We're going to have one at Jilliann's sometimes late July. This gives me incentive to clean out craft/sewing stuff before then and maybe make some spending money for Pennsic.) We made just enough money to buy pizza for our helpers and to do a little shopping of our own. I got some ridiculously good deals as I didn't walk around a bit until the last hour--two nice summer sweaters for .25 each, a couple of good baskets for serving at tavern for only .10 each, two paperbacks and a hard cover book for $1 and a candle holder (never mind I had 3 on the table at home to sell!)
Unpacked all the bins and boxes from the event (tavern and merchant stuff)
Re-packed merchant stuff and put away
Washed/dried all blankets and afghans used to cover chairs and coolers and put away
Washed/dried cloaks
Washed/dried tablecloths and towels and hot pads
Scrubbed 2 coolers (they are still sitting in living room)
Washed MOST of the pans, utensils,& prep dishes (there's still a few things)
NOW to the sewing mess!
This always happens when I have a sewing streak--stuff is everywhere. Scraps of fabric and patterns on the floor, patterns out of the drawers, spools of thread and other tools all over the place. I hand sew by the front window in the family room so there's stuff there. I cut fabric on the dining room table so there's stuff there. I sew in the living room so there's stuff there.
I need to straighten it all back up, put the things that belong in the shed away and do a really good sweep up TO GET READY FOR THE NEXT ROUND.
Coming up: spell-packet making party, drifting around Belle Isle in a hot Mustang, an all day tavern for Clancy Day/Grand Tournament of Archery, a few costumes for SL, elven wedding dress fitting, TWO merchanting trips and some Pennsic garb (MAYBE EVEN FOR ME!! We're not sure yet.)not necessarily in that order.
I need to hit the June/July/August calendar and organize our summer. I need to plan meetings and project nights and birthdays.
I'm exhausted and sunburned.
I'm actually enjoying the rain today. Keeps me feelin' mellow and cozy in my house.
I'm a little unhappy with a few people but it's nothing to complain about--just will be more careful of getting involved next time.
I can't believe it's June.
