I've been watching Hogan's Heroes and this tank just came on and my first thought was "Hey, it's a Dalek!" (Daleks are from Doctor Who) Those fandoms don't mix very well.
You know, it's pretty amazing how good Hogan's Heroes is. You wouldn't think a story based on POWs in a Nazi camp could be a comedy, but it is one of the funniest I've ever watched. The comedies these days just don't match up.
Unrelated, for some reason I've been having a hard time recently remembering English idioms and phrases. For example in one of the above sentences I first wrote "The comedies this day just don't match up." I knew it sounded wrong, but it took me awhile to figure out the right saying. I've also not been able to remember well known similies and metaphors. I think my brain started dying over finals and just died over break. =D
