Let me 'splain. No, there is too much. Let me sum up.
Bruins vs Oilers. I was at the game last night. Third row, and it was in-fuckin'-credible! It was a very exciting game and my boys played so well (okay, my black and gold boys played well, my oil country boys really didn't play up to their usual level). Petr Sykora stretched in front of me. And Marc-Antoine Pouliot smiled for my camera (though I was so surprised, I don't think I got a clear picture). Chistov kept flipping pucks right up where I was at the glass, and that annoyed me, I don't know if he was doing it on purpose, or it was just where he flips pucks normally, but he kept scaring me. I was right at the glass for warm-ups. The Chief's little ceremony was adorable and he's such a part of Boston history you can't help but be a little awed at him. And oh, Cam Neely still looks damn good at however old he is. He could so point and get. I was sad Bobby Orr wasn't there, but even more sat at his reason. Derek Sanderson looks like an old guy, which is kinda sad, because he was such a playboy in his day. Pictures will be coming soon, with more stories.
Skating. Today was huge. HUGE! Let me tell you! I skated. Skated, skated! I let go completely of the boards and skated around the rink without touching anything. Skated! I am so damn proud of myself! I am actually skating! From the point that I swore I'd never be able to pick my feet up to actually skating, skating. Go me! Also? I fell for the first time. And damn it hurt! Right on my ass. And it's still sore. I bit my tongue too, which hurt a lot. I am laying on my side at the moment because my ass hurts. A lot. But after I fell (and half the rink came over to me to see if I was okay--did I mention how much I love my rink?!) I got back up and kept skating. Made myself keep skating and keep not touching the boards and I did. Right back on the horse, Renee said. Damn right, because I've come way too far to give up now!
