How I Spent My Summer Vacation
1. Moved to Tampa, tried to get jobs everywhere, couldn't so I took over the night shift from 7 PM to 7 AM taking care of my Nana.
2. Moved to Gainesville. Tried to get a job there while living with Paul.
3. Moved back to Tampa, started working at Pebble Creek Pool during the day and taking care of my Nana at night.
4. Got re-hired at the Coffee Beanery... so I began working Pool shift in the morning, Beanery at night, and taking care of my Nana after.
5. Broke up with Alex, lost the person who I truly love.
6. Nana begins hallucinating for 10 days, and we realize she isn't getting any better, call her doctors and Hospice and she passes away while we are filling out the paperwork.
7. Paul's friend gets hit by a car, gets declared brain-dead, and dies 5 days later in the hospital.
8. Funeral arrangements, family coming in and out to stay with us for the majority of July.
9. Drive to Jacksonville with Liz to move my things out of Alex's.
10. Go to New York for more Funeral masses and what not (I did the eulogy).
11. Still working two jobs, packing, moving back to Jacksonville.
So, for the handful of friends of mine who are discontent with the quality of friend I have apparently been this summer, you could have picked up a goddamn phone as well. Maybe then you would know that my summer has been far from margaritas on the beach.
