So i've learnt a lot in the last 5 days and i thought I'd share..
1) Red tape is crazy
2) The NZ health care system is crazy
3) Once your addmitted though - they'll do all they can
4) Waiting rooms are the worst place on earth , years of collected anguish seems to float around in them.
5) Trashy magazines in the said waiting rooms can only help a bit
6) Life is to short , to be petty.
7) Life is to short for complaints
8) Life needs to be seized and held onto tightly and not let go off.
9) Hospital food is crap but the jelly is good.
10) Nights are always long and scary.
11) Friends and Flatmates (often the same thing ) are amazing.
12) Perspective is huge.
13) If you love someone enough than , never not let them know it, enjoy every second possible , if you have them and you know it and they have you leave off the games, the jealousy games everything. Trust me a day will come when you wish you had.
14) Nurses aren't always scary.
15) Mind over matter does work - you can work yourself through many terrifying things through will power.
16) Hospital gowns still ugly.
17) It only takes one moment to put your world in a tailspin and brings your dreams and wishes seem to disappear....
18) Holding onto dreams always, is a way out.
I'm sure i've learnt a lot more. I'm sure J has learnt the most, but right now my mind is just to full of too much detail to remember any of the rest....
I'd really like to thank my amazing flatmates..Lucy, Tui and Hayley - for everything.. from - doing my laundry, to making me food and giving it to me in Uni to making my birthday yesterday as nice as it could be under the circs. Thank you guys.. you mean a ton to me.
Of course there's Mike - who just keeps proving that hes a great person.. :) thanks for the shoulder to lean on (tell me when Lucy starts minding). Especially for your determination to see J and me through this..
Most of all J himself... for being the bravest, lovliest person i know ( which may just be the reason why i love him and not just the pretty looks), for promising to fight and that we will get through the next 6-7 months and get on with our dreams .... ;) I love you.
