(no subject)
So... I just got my desktop back up and running and in my room (I was letting my roomie use it for a bit, her laptop had to be sent in for fixings). I got it all set up and had Chrome running and got all my bookmarks going... But I thought, "Gee, the toolbar looks kind of short. Wonder what I'm missing?" Then it occurred to me today that I hadn't checked LJ in a bit. Whoops! I hope nothing really awesome happened to you guys. I went about fifty entries back before I called it. Most of my f-list these days is community posts.
Just got my financial aid info for the 2012-13 school year! Looks like I'll be able to go one more year :D I was really worried about that, so that's a HUGE weight off of my back!
Right now I'm working as much as I can. The manager of New Leaf will be leaving sometime in June and I'll be taking over her job... Probably? XD Now that I just told the owner I'll be going back to school, I hope she'll still let me have it for a bit and then hire someone to replace me. We'll see. She's been super great to me so far, letting me work in the studio a few days a week so I still get full time hours. I really adore her. She has some exciting developments coming up soon, herself, and I'm glad I get to help her with them. If they actually come to fruition I'll talk about them.
I've worked hard to find a balance in my artistic life as well. I'm working full speed on my comic again. It's coming along quite nicely, unlike the fitful stops/starts I experienced before. I feel like I'm finally at a good place artistically/lifewise to make some progress with it! Once I get the first issue finished I'll make a site for it and pop it up online. I already have a few more stories plotted out (I wrote the scripts for two... but who knows where they went) so I'm not worried about running out of ideas anytime soon!
My ZADR fanfiction is turning 10 this year as well. I'm working on rewriting it to upload it to fanfiction.net at someone else's suggestion. I'd also like to finish it for good this summer. I don't know, though. We'll see! The comic comes first, fanstuff comes second. And I'm teasing out some design jobs as well...
So anyway! Only a few of you guys read this anymore I guess, but I'm happy to share with you! I use other social media sites (Tumblr, Twitter, Facebook) way more often so, for those of you that have accounts we're not buddies on, let me know! :)
