Whelp, Missy gave me some tips on extra places to look for jobs so I'm going to check that out when I go back to campus tomorrow. If not, I'm looking into volunteering a little. Just something to get me out of the apartment and hopefully parlay into work experience. There's already one place I'm interested in volunteering for... and they're holding a workshop thingie tonight that I'm thinking about attending as well.
Today one of the professors came and spoke to us about a summer program they have in Venice. You get six credits out of the deal and you get to make prints and artist books. And, you know, live in Venice and go exploring on weekends. It'd cost about $5,000 but they offer scholarships AND apparently 21st Century Scholars now offers to cover "unmet need" according to your FAFSA stats. So I could potentially get most of my trip comped.
I would just need to pay for my food and... my bills back home. Which will probably be impossible unless I round up a jorb soon.
The thing is that this might be my only option for taking summer classes. Kind of silly, isn't it? The state will pay for me to go to fucking Italy but I can't just stay home and take a math class? I just don't know. XD;
