Respect for all Mothers

Nov 27, 2012 06:30

Now, don't get me wrong, I already had respect for mothers (childbirth alone made me due so... *has a really, really low pain tolerance*) but after a day of watching a three year old...wow. And that was only for ten hours. And mothers not only watch them but raise them from infancy up? Wow.

Not that Rose isn't the sweetest kid in the world (once she got over her shyness of the "stranger", ergo me) but she has some serious energy. And loves to be read too. Picture books, books with no pictures, it doesn't matter. She will literally go grab like four or five books and toss them in your lap. That means "Read to me, now!" And she will continue to until your vocal cords are horse. She loves being read too.

But if your not reading to her (she treats me like a human jungle gym when I read to her, though she and I now have an understanding, she can climb on me but my neck is off limits XD No killing the baby-sitter XD) she'll find other things to do and wants to play with you, weither it's toys or peek-a-boo or hide and seek, she very rarely wants to play alone.

Unfortunately it looks like she might be getting sick but well, if she does she does and I'll just have to deal with it.

So, anyone with experiance with three-year-olds have any advice for someone who's more used to dealing with five-year-olds and up?
