...suck.
Had all four pulled yesterday, two of which were impacted (didn't come up straight, were wedged sideways against other teeth). I didn't get put to sleep, only had 10 shots of novicane. The surgery itself was easy enough, didn't feel anything 'cept the needle going into my gum. Dentist had to cut open gum to get tooth out, than stitch it back up. Oh yay.
Was completley happy that it was all done, and continuously prodding myself in the jaw because I couldn't feel it all. Was riding home watching Lord of the Rings with my sister, when...the novicane began to wear off. Hell hath no fury like four large gaping holes in your mouth that throb painfully and ooze blood like a damn volcano.
Was a complete bitch rest of the day, and drooled blood and this yellowy crap all over everything. Used up two boxes of tissues and numerous napkins. Mom would only give me half of the painkiller because 'I'm smaller and my body doesn't need as much.' Argh, painkiller and multiple ice packs didn't work. Pain severe. Wanted to destroy everything but lacked energy to do so. Instead lay on the couch drooling, unsuccessfully trying to fall asleep, and generally being very unhappy.
That was yesterday. Today I'm moving around and eating jello (the yummy red kind). I can barely open my mouth wide enough to fit the spoon in and really want to brush my teeth but am afraid to. Yuck. Holes have stopped leaking blood (thank goodness), but face still looks like a pudgy chipmunk. Mouth feels like there's more in it rather than less and still hurts a bit. Am still slighty unhappy but no longer feeling particulary murderous.
That is all, have a lovely Good Friday everyone!
