“Henli, you can’t read Chinese?” a young male whined while pressing another few buttons of a machine. It beeped after every press. The latter still needed some time to progress the Korean spoken to him, plus it was heavily accented with a dialect. When he understood what the older male said, he puffed his cheeks and tried to figure out what the buttons meant instead of arguing.
“Ah man, this is so frustrating…Where’s Hannie-hyung when we need him?” Donghae said again fanning the schedule he had everywhere, emphasizing his frustration.
“M-manager-hyung took him and Mimi-ge out because Xi-I mean Heechul ge wanted to go shopping.”
“You mean Heechul-hyung and Mimi-hyung wanted shop and Hannie-hyung insisted to follow to keep them controlled?” Yesung said nonchalantly when he passed by the living room space before entering his bedroom with a long yawn. The other members were busy with their own schedules leaving the four at the dorm and another three roaming around at the mall.
An annoyed Donghae started stabbing the buttons of the machine more than necessary and Henry tried to stop him in his stilted Korean. The two ended up with a bunch of printing papers scattered on the floor and the original schedule of theirs somewhere buried in the scatter. Henry got on his knees to separate the papers and stacking them back properly on the table beside the machine that caused the chaos.
“Henli-ah, we’ll just wait until they come home.” Donghae collapsed into the couch waving a finger in the air, as if it was a white flag. Henry moved to the end of the couch where Donghae’s legs were rested on, the older male pulled his legs up automatically to give the Chinese boy some space.
“Why did manager-hyung get that thing in Chinese anyways?” Donghae asked.
“Hannie ge bought it for us to use in the dorms.”
Donghae’s mouth formed a perfect ‘O’ before turning to hear the eternal magnae walking out from the room with bed hair, an oversized and obviously Yesung’s clothes and tired eyes, “Yesungie told me you two were abusing the copy-machine…”
Henry sighed and rested his head in defeat and Donghae pouted at Ryeowook, “It’s not abuse…”
Ryeowook looked at the older male then the Chinese boy, who, without Donghae noticing, mouth ‘abuse’ back at his China roommate and his head bobbing up and down. The eternal magnae stifled a laugh and went to get a glass of water before retreating back to his room.
Copy-machine abusing day ended with Hangeng copying their schedules when he returned, with Donghae practically glued on the older Chinese male’s back trying to remember the steps to use the machine, a notepad in hand while the other members lounged around the television watching Heechul’s favorite Disney movie for the umpteenth time.
