Or at least it felt like one. Throughout the dream I kept walking various places. These included my home town of Covington and the surrounding areas, Salem, and Roanoke. There was even some place that I believe only exists in my dreams.
It was... odd, to say the least. The world seemed to be post apocalyptic, but it was past the panic stage. I think society was attempting to rebuild itself, but technology didn't exactly work. I kept having to find my way by using the old state routes and highways. There was one I kept going on where the people that lived off to the side knew me by name. We'd talk and what not.
After doing some observing of my dream self I realized she was hiding from my family. It seemed we had a falling out at some point. Still, no one ever when to my gramma's place (this seems to be the main area in my dreams... maybe because it was home for a long time). The house was gone, but I had myself up a little place that was well hidden.
Even though technology didn't work, plumbing did. And I was ecstatic that a hot water spring bubbled into existence near the little home I had made. Somehow I managed to move a porcelain bathtub up and rig it up to the hot spring to ensure I had a good bath.
:/ And tended to sleep in the bathtub, too. In the water. WEIRD. But my dream self woke up all nice and refreshed, then dressed for another week of travelling.
And nothing really major happened in this one. I never once saw my pursuers (though I don't think my family could be called that), there were no strange men bothering me. It was... relaxing.
Thank the gods, too. I needed a dream like that given what I've been having.
