If you haven't read Atlas Shrugged or the Fountainhead by Ayn Rand, you should (although maybe more the latter than the former... as I just recently sort of stopped reading Atlas Shrugged for some reason...) I would also reccomend Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett, or American Gods by Neil Gaiman.
