And so we dance...

I've been slack about updating here. So sue me.

Work is going fine. My homeroom has more girl drama than I like. One girl was...not expelled exactly. But discovered to be completely unsuitable for our program and advised to seek something else. I have far too many preps this semester (5). I go down to four next semester, and they are all classes I've taught before, with the exception of my elective "Food Appreciation" class, so I should be less crazed. I am now assistant coaching the girl's basketball team after school.

I've lost weight. I'm not sure what my high was, but I'm pretty sure it was around 170. My new low is 149. I've hit a plateau weight loss wise, but I'm still pretty upbeat about it. The weather has gotten colder, making it harder to go outside for walks, especially as it's dark when I get home now. However, I knew this was coming and that's part of why I signed up to coach. I get to run my laps in the nice warm gym with the girls now. We have an odd number, so if everyone is there, I have to do the drills too. So I think the change in exercise (I am so beat today, I got my ass handed to me by a three foot tall chinese girl), will help me push past it, or at least maintain until I can get back outside again.

I'm hosting Thanksgiving this year. It's too expensive to fly to Texas and my parents can't swing the scheduling to go to Florida, so we'll all be up at my house. I've been blogging about it over at Northside Food, so feel free to check there for details.

Tomorrow is the Fall Social for the kids. It's our "Not Really a Dance" dance to prep them for the spring Sock Hop. It's been the subject of much drama in my homeroom, even after we told them "No dates allowed!". Should be fun.
