There are several things, I've never understood about Micheal Bay's Transformers. Most of these are, of course, plot related. The most notable of these being the decision to take the MacGuffin/ killer robot bait into a heavily populated downtown area. And I do want to point out that, as a taxpayer, I'm pretty disappointed by the amount of damage to the infrastructure caused by the robots punching each other. They were just at the Hoover Dam, in the middle of the fucking desert. Couldn't they do their showdown out there? Or is there a desert owl breeding zone they were afraid to disturb? The sequel better involve a congressional hearing of some sort.
But the thing that baffles me the most, is the way the robots talk. They exposit early in the movie that they learned English from "the internet". I call bullshit. There's no way. If they learned our language from the internet, then they would speak a bizarre pidgin of LOLspeak, leet and engrish.
And I find it incredibly creepy that in the epilogue, Shia is sexing his girlfriend on top of Bumblebee while a bunch of intelligent cars watch.
