I meant to post this yesterday. Oh well!
Today has been a rough day for several people here at The Cottage School. My assistant principal who uses my room first period, wrote on my white board with a permanent marker I had carelessly left out. He was very, very embarrassed about it. I don't blame him. I was the one who left the marker out and he had one of our lovely bi-polar kids dancing around in circles in his class today.
In third period, one of my sleep deprived darlings passed out in class. I was going to just him sleep, but then he started snoring. I had to shake him awake. Then he bonked his head on the desk. Poor guy. I deducted twenty percent of his pay for that period. I really should have given him lunch detention to make up the work he missed, but I told him to call his parents and see if he could go home instead. The kids have a four day weekend starting tomorrow, so I didn't think it was worth it to make a bigger deal out of it.
