Ok- I really liked that Justin realized he would need to SHOW Brian what his life in NY was like, since the image of it in Brian's head was stubbornly set. Loved how you had Justin re-set that image with reality & show his thought process in deciding to return to Pittsburgh.

Oh- & the Brian & Gus scene was wonderful. Gave me warm fuzzies... which is nice since current temp is -12f.

Exactly.

Ack! God, I loathe winter here, and it's 30F, which I consider pretty chill. I'd never survive where you are.

Justin truly doesn't need to live in NY to have a career and I'm glad he got through to Brian, too

He really doesn't. What he needs are his options - and those are best served in Pittsburgh, where he's happy.

though I fear Brian was less than thrilled with where Justin lived ;)

On Justin's earnings, that's about as good as it gets. Space is at a premium, and Manhattan's completely out of the question in the current market.

He did a great job handling the issue and while gus was hurt, I think he'll get over it. Plus, he'll get Justin instead!

Yep, he's young. I think they'll need to allow Justin to just organically move into the orbit around Gus, as he's already doing. No sudden moves, you know?

Thanks for letting me know you liked!

thank you, I can't wait for tomorrow's installment/epilogue

I love Brian and Justin together.
They still need to talk more, but there's hope there.

Probably, but I doubt they will. For the intents of this fic, things are basically settled with Justin's telling Brian that this is what he wants. Really, that's all Brian needs to hear. At least, IMO.

This chapter was perfect. It made so much sense for Justin to SHOW Brian why he was totally convinced that Pittsburgh would be his permanent home with an alternate artistic base.

Since Gus is able to also focus on his artistic ability I would hope that this would lead to a positive relationship with Justin re-emerging.

I love seeing B/J renew their relationship, but this time with a much better clarification.

Exactly. I really never understood why Justin had to live in New York to be an artist, for any reason except a plot device to get him out of the way and turn Brian into the Icon He Was Meant To Represent. Hell, if I wanted Brian to be a representative, I would have preferred he run for office - and that's hardly his style.

But it would be like arguing that writers need to live in New York because that's where the literary scene is. Well, it is, but most writers DON'T live in New York. Although they usually end up here for book signings, and awards ceremonies.

I certainly imagine it would.

I love seeing B/J renew their relationship, but this time with a much better clarification. That is the perfect way to think of that - ( ... )

I'm glad Justin's 'forcing' Brian to talk and admit what he wants. I'm sure Brian seeing how Justin lived in NY helped him to understand that Justin's not running from anything.

It's kind of amusing that Brian tried using Gus to get Justin to admit what his future plans are. Brian Kinney... hiding behind a child. lol

Even more amusing - using his feelings to hide his feelings. Do they cancel each other out, then?
