PR All Stars was a breath of almost-fresh-air, after the regular PR. I don’t remember all the designers, but I loved and still love Chris March, though I agree that his designs sometimes disappoint; and I well remember Dmitri and think he is an excellent designer. I disliked Helen (still do) - remember her as being needy and whiny. Justin is memorable as being a nice guy without skill or talent. I hate to think his disability is what keeps him in contention, but I do think it, alas. Shame on me.
Kate’s mermaid sheath was just silly and completely uninspired. I almost wish she’d been auf’d, if only because she seems to feel entitled. Sorry to say I was glad Patricia was sent away. She has some unique ideas, and if she had expressed any of them in this first test, she’d have received a pass (as she did often during her season). But her dress was also uninspired and downright plain.
I did like Chris’ kilt, dated or not. He was inspired by a funky street guy, which was the point of the downtown challenge. Fabio’s was lovely, though I am not a fan of jumpsuits - seems like a copout to me. I liked Benjamin’s best - thought it was pretty and wearable for different occasions. Helen’s was pretty too, but aside from the shiny fabric, kind of boring. Justin always, as I recall, left the models with their butt cheeks hanging out.
I like Mizrahi, for some reason, and feel his judging is mostly fair. Time will tell with the other judges - though I was glad that they disagreed sometimes instead of rubber stamping each other. I suppose QVC was influenced to be a sponsor since Isaac uses QVC extensively to sell cheap versions of his own fashions. I like to watch him on QVC actually - he’s fairly down to earth, for a “name” designer, and has a great sense of humor.

Yes, I agree! The fashion was fun and that's what people cared about. I also agree with your assessment of the designers, and this made me laugh:
Hee! as for

Shame on us both.
The judging was very good, wasn't it? I love that Chris found inspiration on the street - exactly where you should downtown, just as you should find it uptown in boutique lounges and stepping down brownstown stoops.
IM seems to have criteria for judging beyond "Make it new and don't bore me!" that seemed to be about it for last season. Oh, you've seen him on QVC! He seems like he has a good humor, which is probably why I like him also.
