Odd that they would call Kini's derivative of McQueen but fail to mention that Sean's was a low budget McQueen rippoff as well.

Emily desgns all seem stuck in the 80's which based on her flashback picture appears to have been her hey day.

Looking at the pictures I don't hate Amanda's as much as I did last night.

Korina truly did deserve to go home, but I understood Fäde being auf'd. BTW, TLo posted his finale collection if you want to see it. It reminds me of Alexandria from last season, only he used color.

I have no idea why Alexander keeps winning fan fav week after week. He hasn't made an impression on me one way or the other. He's as middle of the pack as Char to me.

Ugh, I hate that McQueen concept. A young girl in a virginal white dress gets attacked by white phallic objects squirting her up and staining her pure white frock. WHILE PEOPLE APPLAUD. UGH, YUCK, SO MUCH ICK.

Now I hate Marc Jacobs but that's a WHOLE 'nother story.

As for Amanda, I didn't like her look, but it made sense - plus, I just don't like her aesthetic so I'm trying to take that into account when I talk about her now. Same with Sandhya. That's part of what's so discouraging, two of the favored designers I find baffling.

I understood Fäde being auf'd.

Yeah me too, and oooh, I do wanna see it, thanks! I'm gonna go look once I post this comment.

Me neither! And his personality is pretty much blah too, so wtf.

For some reason Sandhya doesn't bother me. I don't think she's perfect, but I don't see the pure evil many seem to see. I had no problem with her wins either. In fact she's my choice for the win ( ... )

I don't either, and I'm resenting the editing attempts to create an evil monster. I actually liked Sandhya's idea this time - I think if she had constructed the pinwheels on top all the way down the pants as well, it would have been really cool.

Tim Gunn is perfect or even the same guy we first met. He's an exe producer and has a financial stake in this show.

Yeah, and as T&L are pointing out, he's reduced to pushing the hell out of the corporate sponsors, which is sad. He's been Vanna Whited!

This show is about making money and telling narratives.
Sadly for me, this is what all reality tv has been reduced to. It used to be such fun competitions. Now the human element has been reduced to a mawkish sentiment to push product instead of the triumph of human will to succeed that it used to be as a natural outcome of submitting one's self to social judgment. Now telling anyone they just aren't good enough because ( ... )

That was season 4 Chris Siriano and Chris March collaboration made back when they actually had time on challenges.

It was the most blunt uncomfortable product placement challenge I saw on TV recently. Okay... maybe watching Tyra and her ANTM cycle 21 contestants spitting-into test tubes-to trace their ethnic origin

Oh, ugh. It's all been horrible, and I used to love reality tv so much. It's like being in a really bad breakup - we used to love each other so much, I have to believe that can still be! Nope, nope, I'm hitting the reluctant acceptance portion of this relationship.

OMG the Tim Gunn gaze is priceless every time. I actually wish we had more of it this season ;)

I agree with you. I was never so besotted with Tim and since the Tim Gun mentor show, I just have lost a lot of my respect for him. Still, it's fun to see these little reminders of what once was pop out.

'It's the vagina season' remark to Amanda to which she responded with a giggle because she obviously figured out she maybe went a bit too farI think Amanda can giggle because she knows she was preselected to at least get to the finale, if not win. Right now I'm at a loss ( ... )

I guess you do have a point there because she's not the most talented designer in the bunch but she's still in there so there... however in this case where Tim gave her the 'Vigi comment' I kinda felt as if for the first time this season she's kinda laughing at herself and not being so arrogant.
Also I kinda liked when she got emotional when Fade was Au'fd. Looks like she really 'digged' his style.

Not sure who I want to root for now

Same here.

Bingo. It's from the first AG challenge season 4 that he and Chris designed.

He was the best. LOOOVED his NYFW SS15 collection *sigh*

I've lost most of my interest in this season's PR with the auf-ing of Fade. Yes, his was possibly the worst design this week because it was so unrelated to the challenge and not really avant-garde, but the fact is, he was the ONLY good designer this season. Why they ignored his earlier great designs is inconceivable to me, and I'm sure that was a factor in him losing his own enthusiasm.

I was impressed with the white dress/dye trick until Minion shared that video, I had no idea it was so utterly derivative. Thus I don't really trust the judges' excitement about "innovation" when surely they know better than anyone what designs are merely retreads of older things.

Also, the excitement over a stupid plastic garment covered with childish little pinwheels floored me. No sophistication in that, IMO. Just - ugh. I don't like the condescending attitudes of Sandya and Amanda, and there is no other designer who interests me much. Well, maybe Kini.

Very disappointed and annoyed.

Well, I don't know about Fade, but it's been definitely true for me.

Same with Kini. They completely scolded Emily for being derivative but then kept congratulated Kini's McQueen-inspired dress? Seriously, the crack is strong with them this season.

Oh my god I so totally agree. Kini interests me but only in that he reminds me of better designers.

Very disappointed and annoyed.

Me too.
