Onward We March!

You can't have sushi? That seems pretty healthy.

Those are great pictures of your chickens. I told my husband about Foxmeat, and we both thought that is a brilliant name. Hope you manage to keep Foxmeat alive. :)

I am sure the limitation in sushi involves pathogens and parasites. My best friend/roomate is a biologist, so I have heard all about such things in detail :)

Thanks! That makes sense. Now that you mention it, I remember someone with leukemia having to give up sushi until finished with all their treatments and cleared. I should have thought about that.

Or it could be no sushi because Izzy's stuck in low-carb land for the sake of her blood sugar.
Sushi being composed mostly of glutinous rice, usually white, not one of nature's lower-carb foods.

If she was a sashimi fan (shudder raw fish shudder), she'd be golden.

Apparently there are high levels of mercury in certain kinds of raw fish used in sushi & sashimi, and I indeed am a fan of that kind of thing. So I was told initially to just avoid raw fish kinds of sushi, but then I went on the no-carb diet, and now I'm on the low-carb diet...

So in the end, I can eat some sushi IF it doesn't have raw fish, and IF I keep careful track of the amount of rice I ingest...and in the end it's all just easier to avoid it all and just not take the trouble. Boo. :C
