So, you wanna be a pimp...
Go watch American Pimp. Seriously, go right now, find a copy, and watch it. It's this documentary about pimps from point of veiw of pimps. I saw it this past Thursday on the Independent Film Channel, and it was very entertaining to say the least. The world of pimpin and hoin is very fascinating place. I learned about the heirarchy of bitches, the proper way to keep my bitches in line, and other valuable information such as in order to be an authentic pimp you need a colorful name, a gaudy suit, and to interject the phrase "you know what I'm sayin" about every third word when conversing. There was this one old pimp from the 70's named Filmore Slim that had one of his bitches murdered by the Zodiac Killer. Very interesting stuff...
Also, pimps say the most colorfully amusing things. Here are a few of my favorites from the film:
- A pimp don't be hatin on his momma.
- I don't steal nothin, except a bitch's mind.
- It's not matrimony, it's macaroni. (in reference to traditional girl-boy relations)
- These niggas be killas, gorillas, and godzillas. (in reference to gang-banger pimps)
- I will lay my goon hand down... (in reference to smacking around bitches)
- I'm gonna cut her head back to the fat meat. (also smacking around bitches)
- I was told by one of the greatest pimps that ever lived, called God, "If you know what you got, you ain't got much." (a reformed pimp turned minister)
- Connect L7 together and you got a big ol' square.
- Pussy gonna sell when corn and cotton won't.
- The pimp game is a loney one.
