October we hardly knew ye
Only 16 trick-or-treaters. Where oh where has the Halloween spirit gone?! I'm so old BUT back in my day we'd have 160-180 no problem. Good thing I'm fostering a sense of "Get everything you can!" in my niece - I drove she and her friend around (it's the only way I get to have fun too so shut up about driving kids!).
I have surpassed my reading challenge from last year by quite a bit but only due to counting fanfiction in my numbers. This isn't as fulfilling as I expected and I will change again next year to only include books.
My Christmas shopping is practically finished, just a couple odds and ends to collect and some bookmarks to cross stitch. Today I heard a "Countdown to Christmas" message on the radio and nearly had a fit. It's November 1st damnit! Sure, I'm jumping ahead of the madness that is our materialistic holiday, but said holiday is more than 40 days away! Leave me alone economy!
Anyone else here watching "Dracula" on NBC?
Picked up tickets for the SPCA Christmas fundraiser. Ignore my rant on the economy and buy my goddamn tickets. Or donate to the SPCA. That'd work too.
