It's Been Forever

Since I updated, that is. News? Working an additional 2 months as interim vurator at the Thomas Warne Museum, formerly a FT position held by my dear Mr. Johns, who was driven away by harpies. It's so miserably PT now, and they won't make a decision about a permanent position, but keep telling me i am doing a fab job and asking me to stay on 'two more months'. The President of the historical society recently lost her husband and we all thought she'd resign-- various reasons for this but she is physically unable to do much for herself and can bearly walk-- the hubby did all the driving and go-fer work. Anyway, she is a problem for everyone because she lies and manipulates, assures me she's my friend and then behind my back and the museum board's goes sniffing around for another curator, etc. She's the main reason Dave left...

Rediscvered nmy passion for Tony Perkins-- his Javert is reason enough to live. Sad that the man's career was not longer, and that he got some real stinker roles. Everyone knows Norman Bates, but he was maybe just as troubled and intense. Gone 17 years as of Sept 12. His widow, Berry Berenson, was on one of the planes that hit the wTC towers on 9/11. Anyway, feverishly writing Unburied dead and trying to figure out how to get the heroine in bed with both leading men-- nit at the same time of course....the Inspector is way too repressed for that. At 40 years old, I don't think he's ever had sex....

Sadly, my little cat Toodles passed away on 9/8. Only 5 years old, and I blame myself for not having the necessary load of money for a vet. And of course it has caused me to rethink the notion of a merciful God. Poop-- just missed Offenbach on the radio. Straus sr, Rossini, and Offenbach are my good-time boys....

Still no wheels. Ebay sales slow-- shall I blame the economy? tracking down the LONG version of the '78 version of Les Miserables. Doesn't take much to distract me. Also engulfed in things Steampunk, and reading 1) my sisters first published book (albeit slowly. Contemporary romance is not my thing) and 2)some random chapters of an excellent work in progress by my friend Dick Lumbreyer. AWESOME time travel, circa 1944, with a cast that includes folks from 2079 and N. Tesla.... well done!!

Richard's latest work is going well-- so far. Wonder if it will make it to the US? Owe him a letter as usual!! I think part of the glue that keeps him writing to me is that I play 'hard-to-get'--- LOL!! no, just lazy in the art department, as I have promised him to inckude pix of new art every letter, so sometimes it's a month or two between my letters. And I have started posting this month on DebiantArt even though I signed up for it 2 years ago!!

Enough of an update. Better get something constructive done!
