Did you read the backstory manga? It gives Trowa an even more emo backstory. Quatre is also very emo. So is Wu Fei.

I think that Trowa is Jewish because Catherine's last name is Bloom. Mostly I think this because anime has a sad lack of circus Jews, which this would help remedy. Beyond that, I got nothing.

Except Trowa's listed ethnicity is..."Latin" which I always thought was Central/South American and everyone else thinks it's Mediterranean. GUNDAM WING, YOU CRAZY.

Though honestly, the fact that a person who is a) blonde, b) named Quatre Rebarba Winner is officially Arabian makes me slightly dubious about the characters' official ethnicities. (Does anyone but the pilots even have official ethnicities?)

katmaxwell, I believe, has always figured Quatre's something of a Lawrence of Arabia. (God, I hope not, it's bad enough as it is.)
