Is there a way to make endnotes footnotes automatically?  I need to convert Chicago style into MLA.

I can't believe you have to convert *to* MLA. For footnote to endnote-- I'll tell you when i get to work. More soon

ok, if you right click by the number of the footnote at the bottom of the page you should see a convert all footnotes to endnotes option.

otherwise, if you ask word to Insert a footnote, there's a convert option under "Location" (top section) of pop-up.

as for converting the style, jay says there is no way to automate.

I do have to convert to MLA. It was Chicago because that's what MoMo wanted, but now it will be a writing sample and I think MLA is better for that. Thank you for taking on my problem. I didn't give you enough info, which is that I have a mac, so no right clicks. Maybe I'll keep the endnotes, actually. Do you know what the new edition of MLA handbook says about footnotes vs. endnotes?

When are you defending? Can I come or do you want to keep it small?

it is the day of your birth on which I defend! At 1 at LC. I think given the campus, I won't have to worry about too big of a group. You are welcome of course, but I imagine you might have more fun things planned. Then again, what's more fun than watching FB?

1 at LC is perfect for me! Gazing at FB while listening to you talk about your diss sounds like a lovely birthday treat. Count me in.

Nooo! It are my defending day and Frolick's birthday! That is ok. I think I have been encouraged to keep the group smallish by the size of the room, which has seating for 10, and five of the seats will be for me and the readers. One is phoning in. We will celebrate after!
