When: 3x02 AU - Just before the gang go back to Nottingham to save Robin
What: How things might have gone with a few changes.
(OOC: The beginning few sections of dialogue in this thread is Tuck and Kate's from the episode, slightly adapted to fit the au)
"Losing an entire generation of men will kill all the villages for miles around. You put one man before
stopping that?"
"Kate, villages are dying across England. The only thing the people have is a spark of hope called Robin Hood. He’s more important than any one man. He’s an idea, something the people can
believe in." Tuck explained their decision to go to Nottingham to free Robin, instead of the villagers.
Kate scoffed at his words, looking disgusted. "Aren't they important enough? They're just village men, just like my brother. They want to raise a family and live an honest life. And you think that the idea of Robin Hood is more important than they are? You all make me sick."
Marian faced the others as the blonde started walking away."She's right." At her words, Kate stopped walking, though she didn't turn around.
Much looked horrified at the thought. "But Marian, we can't just leave Robin, he's -"
"My husband," she shot back evenly, making it clear she was not going to argue. She turned her attention back to Kate, who had her arms crossed. "Kate, we can save them. We will. But we need Robin. He can help us do that." He would never let her forget it, if he found out she was saying this. But not only did she think it was largely true, she was not prepared to simply leave him there. "He can give those men the hope they need to fight for their families, their lives. Because today won't be the last battle they will face."
(OOC: I figure from here we can jump to the rescue, and decide whether Kate went with them or not or it was more in keeping with canon...if you want anything changed let me know)
