I, as some of you may know, have been offered a job teaching ballroom dance in Hamilton.
This rocks.
The third interview, with the president of the company, hasn't happened yet, but I have been told that it will require a demonstration of my current dancing skills. I will have two dances I will not know anything of in advance (one smooth, one rhythm) to see how well I follow. No worries there.
However.
I will also have to have ONE piece ready to be shown, to any music I like, as long as it's 'new'. There are no limits to what I may choose. I may bring a partner or have one provided.
This piece must be:
-competition level
-unusual
-narrative
-dramatic
Thanks to my lovely Arthur, former dance partner, for agreeing to come with me to do this.
We have chosen to use a piece of 'new' music, something of our generation. Suggestions are appreciated, but we've so far narrowed it down to the following; Pet (A Perfect Circle), Sunburn (Muse), Down In A Hole (Alice In Chains), Crazy Bitch (Buck Cherry).
Thoughts? Please do comment, I have to show this within the month. LoL.
