For ThroughAnAmberFocus-
After your request for nine smut, I went home and asked Dr Rose and the Doctor if they couldn’t have a go at it for you. The Doctor wasn’t at all acquiescing. Luckily, Doctor Rose loves you as much as the rest of your fans do, and convinced him. Still took three attempts to get it right, though. There are a couple references to ‘To Find Your Way’, but this is mostly just smut, so it shouldn’t be a big deal if ‘TFYW’ is unread, or if Teaspoon hasn’t given it a green light it yet.
I’m sending this to you at the same time I send it to my beta, so any flaws are mine alone. But, it means you read it before anyone else! Hope you feel better!
And, thank you for the lovely reviews. You’re one of my favorite writers, favorite DW writer by far, and your praise means worlds.
Part Five of the Doctor Rose Tyler Series
Tea, Tables, and Trouble by Drianna Tremere
Apparently, it was the tea that was too much.
They were in his TARDIS for once. Though she usually stayed parked in the console room of Roses ship, neither wanted her to think she’d been abandoned for an upgraded model. Every once and a while, they’d drop Jack and whatever companion they’d picked up on a market planet and take a trip in the Doctors ship. Everyone seemed to be happy with the arrangement, the TARDIS especially.
She wasn’t an old ship, by any stretch of the imagination, but she enjoyed having the time to rest and not bounce all over the Vortex. She appreciated her sister, and used the energy she usually expended in flying to help the other TARDIS travel more smoothly. It was the best arrangement all round.
Except for days like today. When Doctor Rose Tyler and her Time Lord husband almost didn’t make it back to the ship. When even their clever Gallifreyan minds weren’t enough to get away in time. It had taken some of the natives breaking them out of jail to avoid execution. It was unsettling, and they were both more than a little out of sorts when they made it back to the TARDIS.
Rose suggested making tea while the Doctor sent the ship back into the Vortex. He only grunted in agreement, face full of shadows. Having learned long ago not to push when he was in a mood, Rose sighed and made her way to the galley.
It wasn’t as though it was the first time this had happened. They almost died every time out, it was part of what they did. But, this was the first time since running into Torchwood. The other Torchwood. The first time since they’d seen what he was like without her. The first time…
‘Be honest with yourself, Rose,’ she thought. ‘It’s the first time since you started crossing ‘verses that you almost gave up hope. Not all the way, you knew you’d figure it out at the end, but it was the worst you’ve seen. And you’d have gone back on your word, to the Doctor, to Both, an he’d never know why, never…’
She hears footsteps in the corridor. ‘Best sort out the one you’re married to first, ‘fore you fret on everything else.’
The Doctor came into the kitchen just as the kettle was starting to whistle. He sat down heavily at the table as she puttered about, avoiding what was sure to be a conversation she didn’t want to have. A century ago, he’d have tried to send her home.
Well, tough. He doesn’t have that option anymore, the TARDIS is her home, and there’s no way she’s even THINKING of-
Her musing was cut off by the hand on her wrist, spinning her about. Before the question in her throat can voice itself, his lips were on hers, one hand in her hair, the other at the small of her back. She responded without thought, pressing herself to him, mouth opening under the thrust of his tongue. Must have been wrong about that conversation, then.
He took one step backwards, moved them both in a circle, and had her pressed against the table. It dug into her arse, a bit, but she really wasn’t going to complain, not when the hand on her back had slid around and up, doing marvelous things to her right breast.
The desperation managed to infect her as well, the fear and unease of their earlier adventure coming back to the fore, and she had his jacket off before he realized what she was on about. He growled in his throat about having to move his hands off her, but the leather was off and his hands back in an instant.
There isn’t enough time. She almost snorted to herself- two Time Lords, and they haven’t enough time. Just here, and now, and Gods, she just wanted… wanted…
Well, she just wanted.
Her hands went to his belt, his shoved her shirt up. By the time she managed to get his buckle undone, he’d bent to her breasts and made her stop thinking about anything but his mouth suckling at her. She buried her hands in his cropped hair and moaned. As much as she wanted things faster a moment ago, this moment seemed frozen in time.
He moved from one breast to the other, tonguing the nipple before biting down sharply. The difference in sensation made her gasp, and there it was- wanting things faster again, right on the edge of her awareness.
She dropped her hands to his bum, dragging him closer as she ground against him. At the same time, she brought his mouth back to hers and reached to work at his zip. Multitalented, she was.
She startled as he took half a step back, panted for a brief second, and dropped his hands to her trousers. She nodded at him, and he lowered the zip, undid the button, and lowered them off her hips.
She wasn’t as sedate. Kicking off one boot, she shoved her trousers and knickers as far as she could down her legs, pulled her free leg out, dragged his jeans to his knees, and hitched herself up on the table.
“Now. We can talk later, but, you, me, now.”
There wasn’t time for reply as he moved to her, pulled her to the edge of the table, and buried himself in her.
They both gasped, stilled for a pair of heartbeats. Then he began to move, pounding himself into her as quickly and completely as possible. His arms were around her, holding her as flush as he could while still moving. Her hands found purchase at the edge of the table, keeping her in place against his claiming thrusts. The hand in her hair moved her head so that he could lean down to place a line of kisses against the side of her throat.
She was already close, the adrenaline of their trek earlier adding to the fire that always burned for him. When he made it to her shoulder and bit down, teeth almost breaking the skin, she flew. Screamed his name to any that cared to listen and she clamped down around him. Her walls rippling against him sent him into his own release, his shout of her name racing down the corridors of the TARDIS.
She was finally able to let go of the table, and wrapped her arms around him. They both shook, as close as possible, and refused to let go. He lifted her face with one hand, pressed kisses to her lips.
“Don’t ever do that again.”
“What? Never mistake a millipede for a centipede? Didn’t know it was that big of an issue. I may be a Time Lady, but I didn’t go to the Academy, right? Some thing’s I ain’t gonna know. Like, counting legs to try an’ tell the difference is insulting to some species. Who’d ‘ave known that, if you didn’t say?”
“Not what I meant. Don’t go throwing yourself in front of me, like I’m more important to save. I can’t lose you, Rose.”
“Couldn’t lose me if you tried. And don’t think I don’t know about Avron 2, ‘cause I know you were trying to lose me then. And you are SO more important in the savin’ thing. I’ve still got at least 12 regeneration’s left. How many you got?”
“I’m not that bad.”
“’I’m not that bad’ says mister-on-his-ninth-form. I mean, you remember what next you looks like? ‘m not looking forward to pinstripes, me, so I’m keeping you in as good condition as I can. And can I pull my trou’s up, I feel a fool.”
They separated, pulled themselves more or less in order. The Doctor avoids her eyes. The Doctor is not one for avoidance tactics, however, and grabs his face bringing it round to hers.
“I ain’t leavin’ any time soon, yeah? So stop acting like you ain’t gonna see me tomorrow. I ain’t in this for the worryin’. I’m in it ‘cause I love you, and you’re a regular broody prat when I ain’t around. Now, let’s go find out what trouble Rose and Jack got into while we were shaggin in the kitchen.”
“I’m not brooding.”
“Okay, sulking, whatever. I bet they’ve destroyed half the known universe by now. Or at least bought more than Jack can carry.”
“Not sulking, either. Just thoughtful, is all.”
“Right. Sure. I buy it. Now, let’s go find our two companions, and hope Rose has kept Jack from doing anything dumb.”
She throws a glance behind them. “And if you weren’t in the mood for tea, ‘could have just said. Went to the trouble, I did, and…”
Being tumbled into a bedroom isn’t bad, as things go. Just a bit romance novel. Then again, they DO have all his TARDIS to… hrm… explore. And it IS a time machine. And he does have quite the clever tongue.
Thoughtful indeed. Rose makes a note to never tell her mother… EITHER of them… just how thoughtful the Doctor really is. Then she stops thinking of anything to do with her mother.
