Pimping larp...
I am planning on going to Victoriana on the 2nd-4th of September at Hebden Hey (somewhere between Manchester and Leeds). This is the baby of doctor_kaos and is going to be a steampunk victorian extravaganza of fabulousness! It is not only 24 hour time in, but also indoor accomodation and fully catered. When I say fully catered I mean "Friday Dinner, Saturday Breakfast, Saturday Elevenses, Saturday Luncheon, Saturday High Tea, Saturday Dinner, Saturday Supper, Sunday Breakfast and Sunday Elevenses". I am rather looking forward to it, and thought I would share it with you all. If there are any female types who want to go and would be interested in a small group background with Hijinks and Hilarity and Thespian Overtones, then email me/poke me on irc/msn/whatever...

"A warm and friendly greeting to all subjects and friends of our Glorious Empire. His Highborn Self, Johann Lavenza, Count of Amburg, has thrown down the Gauntlet to our fair nation!
Her Most Britannic Majesty, Queen Victoria, has chosen to answer this challenge in a manner befitting the honour and integrity of our illustrious Empire, by staging a Grand Fete showcasing the very pinnacle of British ingenuity, sportsmanship, prowess, spirit and, most of all, tea.
Her Most August Majesty will select 40 of her beloved subjects to represent our fair nation at this fete, from all disciplines in contest - science, daring, art, and spirit. Be they of noble stock or the meanest worker, it is enough they be British, and proud!"
ETA: There are now less than 10 spaces left, apparently! So if interested, book fast...
