It isn't clairvoyance. Not really; he doesn't believe in such things, anyway, though why he should not, he isn't quite sure.
It strikes him as an idea, for the moment that the possibility occurs to him, he knows that it is so. This troublesome sense could be a gift, a dubious blessing from Calypso herself, but he neither knows nor cares to puzzle out its origin.
A child. The desperate fusion of passion and fury that had driven the consummation of their quicksilver vows left no room for caution.
Will hangs his head, lamenting the fatherless fate of yet another Turner.
