As everyone knows, I spent the last seven weeks of my life caring for two abandoned newborn kittens, Gracie and Harley. Yesterday, they went to their new home with a friend of my mom's, Maria. This morning, Maria found Gracie lying in the middle of the floor, unresponsive with her eyes glazed over. At the vet, they told her that this could be the coronavirus, which is completely fatal and highly contageous to other cats. She asked what else it could have been, and they decided to take blood to test for the coronavirus and they treated her for hypoglycemia along with some steroids. Last I heard, she was acting normal but being kept overnight for observation. At this point, it's a waiting game. If the bloodwork comes back positive for the virus she will have to be put down, and there is a very strong possibility that my three other cats and Harley will need to be as well.
Send some positive energy Gracie's way, she's my precious little darling and I am so worried about her. Here are some pictures of my little doll.
