Hey all... have I been a blogging fool or what? LOL! Oh well... I guess since I feel like life is slowing down just a tad, I guess I'm finding more time to share it with everyone. :)
Anyway, I know I mentioned Matt's job possibility... well, he got it. Now next week he needs to go in for a physical and then fill out the necessary paperwork. Then on July 9th go to the new employee orientation all day long and then he'll be set to work when they call/need him. So that is well underway now.
Yesterday I picked Big D from school (school gets out about 3:42pm or something like that) to take her to her riding lesson which starts at 5pm. We got there with about 15 minutes to spare, so I started getting Slick ready so I could ride him while she was having a lesson on a school horse. All went well. Next week we plan on doing the same thing as long as I can find a sitter for Lil D since Matt's physical will be the same day and he won't get home by the time I need to leave to get Big D from school. It was a late night though, Big D and I didn't get home till about 9pm. Next week will probably be the same or later if I decide to ride at the 7pm lesson. Big D's last day of school is the 14th, so it shouldn't be too rough on her... I hope.
Speaking of more horsey stuff... Slick stepped on my foot a week ago and damn, it's still sore. He didn't break anything as it's not THAT painful, but yeah, it still totally sucks. There is still a VERY tender area, but the bulk of it is a huge now yellowish bruise and not soblack and blue... but WOW! I feel very fortunate that he did not break my foot or anything in it really. He really stepped on it hard and twisted even a bit. OUCH!
So in-between taking Lil D to nursery school I decided to call and see if my regular eyeglasses were ready and they were so I ran back out to get them while she was at school. They turned out quite cute, I'm happy with them, just trying to get use to them as they are a smaller rimmed frame then my last ones. Eventually I'll get some pics posted on here of the kids and me in my new glasses to share (hopefully sooner rather than later!)
Guess that's about all for now... as if it isn't enough going on lately. :)
