School, concerts, and teenage boys...

So Alisa and I went to a concert last night. It took a fair bit of negotiating for me to be allowed to go, but Daddy finally convinced Mom that I'd be okay, I guess.
It was more fun than a clown car on fire.
Breaking Benjamin, Seether, Skillet, Three Days Grace, and I forget who else. There were a lot of hilariously drunk/high/totally shitfaced people, too. Alisa introduced me to a number of friends, whose names I can't really remember at the moment. I'm still really tired. We bailed out at like...Eleven-ish, instead of when it actually ended, probably a few hours later.
I got to sleep in today, too. Alisa and I will by dying our hair today. Mine's probably gonna be purple. We don't know how we'll do hers yet.
School's been okay. I'm kind of still feeling overwhelmed, because there've been a number of tests that I had to take, despite the fact that I missed the first two weeks of school. It'll be interesting (probably horrifying) to see my scores.
Especially in dance. It's hard enough catching up on two weeks of choreography, but we were tested in groups of five, and the spot I was given was front and center, in front of the teachers, and the whole class. So I got nervous, and screwed up on the jazz split, and the compass turns. Both times.
My English teacher also decided that I should have finished reading Le Mort D'Arthur (no big deal) and two of the four books in Once and Future King, in two weeks, on top of all of my other work, both current, and catch up. Plus Sabota, my Biology teacher, wants me to start working on my Science Fair Project.
*sigh*

There've been a few boys who suddenly developed an interest in me. It turns out that the reason Alisa walked up to me in the first place was because her friend Justin had seen me in the halls, but was too nervous to approach me himself. She introduced us, later in the afternoon, and he said a shy, bashful 'Hi. Nice to meet you.' and then fled.
In my government class, this guy Ray came up to me, and asked whether I had plans that weekend.
I pulled something out of my ass, that I later realized was true.
"We're in the middle of moving, so we'll be moving furniture and stuff back and forth." I told him calmly.
He refused to let it lie at that.
"Do you have an AIM screenname, or a MySpace?"
"Nope." I answered. "No internet for a few more weeks." Another truth.
"Well can I have your number?"
"No internet. No phone lines. My cellphone doesn't work half the time." Also true.
"Oh. I see." He paused, as if something had just occurred to him. "What was your name again?" He asked.
I just stared for a few moments.
"Rose."
"Oh. Nice to meet you, Rose. I'm Ray." He held out a hand, which I reluctantly took. It was just as sweaty and hairy as the rest of him. He's really pretty icky.
So I've been avoiding him for awhile, now. He came up to me Thursday, and started talking. I informed him that I wasn't looking for a personal relationship, and preferred to be alone, thank you. He started to get the hint.

At lunch, Alisa talked me into sitting with her and her boyfriend Luke, who I hooked her up with. Luke's friend Blue started flirting, and Alisa informed him that I was her girlfriend. and I told him he wasn't really my type.
"We'll see if I can't change that." Is not the smartest response. His odds plummeted from the low twenties to the negatives.

The same day (still yesterday) this boy on my bus, a little bitty Latino guy, who looks like he might be nineteen, despite his height, asked if he could sit next to me, introduced himself, asked my name, grade, and tried to strike up a conversation. It ended abruptly when he asked if he could have my number.
"Maybe." I said, being as noncommittal as possible. "Someday."
He was polite, but kind of creepy.

And Rajin, at the concert (another friend of Alisa's) asked if there was room in my life for him. I explained that I wasn't looking for a boyfriend, or anything, and he said that was okay, he just didn't want me to seem so lonely as I apparently do.
Which was sweet of him.

So it's been crazy busy, what with new schools, Arnis, concerts, and getting into drama with Alisa.

bitching, new friends, new house, new school, the move, boys, drama
