Nothing happens in my life. Nah. Nothing at all. I go to work. Come home. Sleep. Work around the house. Go to work. Come home. Sleep. Over and over again.
Actually, no. I saw Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy the other day. Sunday. I *loved* it, even if it wasn't as good as the book. And where's the towel jokes? I mean, come on! I want my towel jokes! All the movie pointed out to me is that it has been *far* too long since I've read Douglas Adams. Time for me to raid Dad's sci fi collection for the good ole' Adams.
Re-read McCaffrey's 'Harper Hall of Pern' which is really the two Menolly books and the Piemur book. Think I saw 'White Dragon' downstairs, I'm going to have to read that again. For me, that's a good thing.
I'm weaning down my book collection these days. Giving away books I won't read more than twice. Or books I have multiple copies of. (Huh, how did I get three copies of Paksennarion?) Yes, for me a definite good book is one you read three or more times. Like, oh, Tolkien's LoTR, which I read once a year, every year, straight through. Then, Lackey's Last Herald Mage series, I read once a year. The rest of her books aren't promised a once a year read through, but I generally read them at least four or five times. Except the Owl trilogy. Sadly, I've only read them twice each. They just aren't that good.
Aside from that, I'm now officially hooked on Manga. I read Fruit Baskets, Yu Yu (?spelling) Hashuko, and Rurouni Kenshin. As well as a little bit of Chobits, and Ranma 1/2, and Magic Knights Rayearth. Gotten my co-workers hooked too, but they borrow *mine* instead of buying their own. Wish is good for getting people hooked. Heh. *CLAMP* is good for getting people hooked.
Ah well, it's bed time for me. Trying to train myself to wake up early for Balticon!!! Only a few days to go, I'm looking forwards to it!
