Hmm... It occurs to me that I have not posted in ages.

Well, in a few weeks at least. Nothing much occurs to me right now on a topic, so I'll just do some stream of consciousness posting.

I worked in the garden until my muscles felt like noodles. Cutting back overgrown trees, plotting against overgrown bushes, performing violence upon the Virginia Creepers and brambles. Ripping clumps of crabgrass up, and rye grass, and removing clover in the planting beds. Picking infected leaves off of this plant and that. Using a pitchfork to help transfer the massive pile of cut grass from a now bald spot on the lawn to the compost heap out behind the garage. Helping bring in field stone, and some helping to build the walls for a raised bed. Mixing up and spraying plants with a fungicide. Spraying them with insecticide. Sneezing my head off since the pile of grass had started to mildew, and stirring it up had my minor allergies to molds and mildews going haywire.

Then there was work inside the house on Saturday. I get a half hour to clean a room, it ends up looking like a room you could live in. Anyone else in the family, and maybe they've swept. They may not have moved the crates of tools or car parts to the correct room, swept under any of the tables, or removed the floor mat by the door to beat the dust out. That was just one of the three rooms I went after on Saturday. I was smelling 409 and febreeze for hours after that was done.

I went shopping today with Dad. Guess who puts away the groceries? Neatly, no less. I even cleaned out the fridge today, and the freezer got reorganized. Can't really clean it, it's a little over stuffed for that.

Sigh. They're up a creek without a paddle if I ever move out. I think I'm the only person who gets off their duff and cleans, and I know I have to motivate them. Basically, if I'm cleaning, I can stare at one of the two men in the house, and they'll actually react by offering to help/ carry heavy stuff away to get it out of the way. Both of them sort of sigh when they get drafted, but they don't complain too much, so I try and keep the complaints about their lack of initiative to myself. When they do show some initiative, I reward them for it. At least now both of them don't need to be reminded to take out the trash before trash day comes.

Ah well, I am now clean, slightly achy, definitely sniffling, and ready for work tomorrow.
