I am alive!

Really, I am.

I just, well, haven't been doing much, aside from work. Well, nothing truly catch-your-fancy interesting, anyway. I couldn't think of anything to chat about, so just decided to hold until Sunday when I could do a general update.

I've played Crisis Core off and on through the week. Usually I groan at missing something, delete all files and start over again, repeating as needed. Although, I've only just met Aeris and I'm level 28 this time around. Hmm. I guess I'm doing alright. At least, I was until I realized I hadn't unlocked an entire category of missions. Dag nabbit!!

Aside from that, I've played in the garden some, done some house cleaning, finally got rid of the battered ugly computer desk in my room. I've been using it to hold stuff, and finally got rid of it and put in a bookcase. It's cheap. It's not attractive, even if it's not ugly. It's a bookcase, and will hold my books. It wins.

I've planted three roses and two lilacs this season. All five plants I actually put in pots, I want the lilacs firmly established before I put them in the ground here. Maybe I'll build a raised bed for them, even.

Bought a Lorenna McKennitt CD set. Nights at the Alhambra. I've got to say, I really love her style, and her voice. I guess it's all the happy memories of college. Deb had a lot of CDs playing when I visited her dorm room, and every one she played caught my fancy. I've been hunting down the artists or similar artists since. Of course, my CD collection is getting too big for its britches, but that's alright. I love music. Life should come with soundtracks.

In other news, I got my hair cut. It needed it, it was riddled with split ends, and although I mourn the loss of such length, it sadly was a necessary point. Alas, alas, it feels as if half my arm is missing, without the gentle swish of hair against my back.

I did read some excellent stuff online. Although it's probably not shareable since it's definitely 'M' rated or worse. I'm rereading 'The Moon is a Harsh Mistress', I think the next book will be a new book, so I'm trying to behave myself budget wise. That, or I'll leave all credit cards at home and just go to the bookstore with cash. That might work.

Ah well, I'm off to poke at the gardens some more, and try and come up with a plan Dad will approve of for putting in a patio.

games, maunder, ffvii, garden, music
