Let's see, I had Turkey day off and had spent it with mum, sisters and nephew at my one my auntie's house, which is about less than ten minutes from my work place. I met up with my stepmother and little sister,
funny_sarc1, while we were there. There were others that I still don't know, so I didn't interact with them all day. I'm kinda shy, ya know? I mostly hung out my second older sis and younger sis. I was also petting the cats there, too.
Instead of turkey, we celebrated Thanksgiving Puerto Rican style by having arroz con gandules (which is basically yellowish rice with beans and bits of meat), fried yuca, sweet plantains, and pork as the main course. Mmmmm, pig. I mostly had my pork as a sandwich with the rolls. I should have brought those packages of malta, now THAT would have completed the the PR cuisine. :D I was sooooo stuffed after that! I went upstairs to use the necessary room (bathroom) and I saw Max, one of the cats, looking cozy on the air mattress. I went downstairs to get my camera and took loads of photos. XD
I also showed
funny_sarc1 some of my stuff from Yaoi con and when I showed her a cellphone strap of a naked chibi-fied bishi with a dildo in hand while on a unicorn her reaction went like this:
Little Sis: Awwww-- wait.
Me: *laughed my ass off*
With my cousin, her reaction was the same as my sister's. I have to show it to my brother the next time I see him! XD
By the evening, my second older sis and I decided to head out first (we rode seperately from mum and our older sis) and Sarc1 went with us. Unfortunately, I had work on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, so I couldn't spend much time with our guests. This weekend was the 15th anniversary of Fantasy of Flight, so we were pretty busy.
Friday - we had about over 300 people, including mum, nephew, stepmum, and little sister. The weather was a little gloomy and still good to fly the first 4 aircrafts, until it started to pour outside. The owner was able to fly the final plane after the rain calmed down a bit, before pouring again.
Saturday - Started off gloomy again, but didn't rain and looked clearer by the end of the day. However, we only about 260-something people for day two.
Sunday - slower than Saturday. We only had at least 209 people, despite the sunny morning and early afternoon.
During that weekend we also had kite demonstrations. There was this huge octopus kite AND IT WAS THE MOST AMAZING KITE I'VE EVER SEEN! :D
I have two days off now and I'll be working again on Wednesday and Thursday, and then Saturday. At least my schedule is a little more mellow than last week's. On Tuesday, I'm gonna try to go to Green Island one more time before they close, temporarily at least, until January. By the way, Green Island is a frozen yogurt and tea place. The flavored-milk teas are delicious! The honeydew milk tea is totally yummy. :D
