Work was BUSY for the Father's Day weekend. We had about 500 people today, yeah, it was an exhausting day. Let's see...
For the first hour and a half, the system was down so we cashiers had to run the credit/debit cards manually. The lead cashier and the gift shop manager were trying reach the only computer guy my work place had to fix it back up. When the system was back up, I wanted to dance for joy. I gave the guy a hug when I saw him because if he hadn't come in to fix the system, we'd have to continue process the cards manually AND WE WERE RUNNING LOW ON THE SALES SLIPS. D: I feel bad that he had to come in on his day off. Seriously, when it gets busy the system always has to shut down. DX
I also had a WTF moment when one of the girls, who works at the restaurant across the gift shop, asked me, out of blue, if I've ever been married or in a serious relationship. I told her no to both questions to which she responds with, "Then you wouldn't understand" and walks past me. Um, at least she didn't go on about a topic that I "[don't] understand" but damn, no need to bring teh drama. She's normally a nice girl, but methinks she's having relationship issues. Whatever the issue is, I hope she works it out and gets over it. Not only do I not understand anything about relationships or marriage, but if one talks to me about either one, I don't really give a damn unless I'm really close to that person. Meh.
Well, at least I have tomorrow off. I wish I had Tuesday off as well so that I can rest a little more after working for the whole weekend. If I have two solid days off, I might go to Miami for a visit, if possible.
