So I'm bored at work and decided that maybe it was time for another blog. But what to talk about? For some odd reason I feel like I have so much, but I don't wanna babble because then I know no one will read. ;-;
So I guess I'll start with some Youtube stuff I found that are rather entertaining. First off, go to youtube and look up "nigahiga". He's a Japanese Hawaiian and is absolutely hilarious. He and his friends come up with the most random, but funny stuff. One of the few people that can make me laugh. If you all have any time, you should check him out. *nod nod*
Now on to music. For the most part I use youtube as a means to put together playlists that I can play while I"m working. And currently I am addicted to this one song by Seether, a cover of George Michael's "Careless Whisper". If you guys have a chance to listen, I would highly suggest it. One of the few covers that are better than the original. I think what I love about it most is the lyrics. From this past year or so I can relate to it so strongly and it kinda reflects how I was feeling at the time, but couldn't really have the liberty to express it. At the same time though, the melody behind the lyrics is so mesmerizing. Even though the song is a bit of a good-bye song, the melody played out on the guitar is something that you could just dance with your significant other to. That classic late 80's early 90's romantic sound that you just can't seem to hear anymore in the crappy love songs of today. I think we've lost a lot of what love means over the years. Love songs today are about how much people want to get into bed with other people because they look "so damn fine". You hardly hear anything anymore about loving someone in the emotional sense, being close to them, dancing with them, expressing how you'll always be there for them, doing everything BUT having sex with them. That, I feel, is a love song. I got a little obsessed with it one night and put together a whole playlist of songs to listen to with your significant other. Some have lyrics, some don't, but definitely something to cuddle up to.
http://www.youtube.com/user/TheVGACgirl That's my youtube account. Go to playlists and click on slow down. I think these are the best (except 30 seconds. That's kinda an inside thing between me and Matt; the song itself isn't very romantic).
